Stellaria longifolia is a perennial herb, to 45 cm long, stems weak, 4-angled.
Leaves linear to 5 cm long, 0.6 cm wide.
Flowers white, to 0.7 cm wide, petals 5, deeply split, longer than or equaling sepals; inflorescence sparse, open, divaricately branched (forking), flowers few.
Fruit a tan capsule, seeds smooth.
Wetland status: UPL.
Frequency in NYC: Very infrequent.
Origin: Native.
Habitat: Moist edges, open areas.
