Samolus floribundus is a perennial herb to 30 cm tall, branched. 

Leaves in a basal rosette, and alternate along stem, widest above middle, to 5 cm long, tip rounded, base tapered to short stalk. 

Flowers white, to 0.3 cm wide, 5-parted on elongate stalks to 2 cm long, in terminal clusters; blooming May-Sept. 

Fruit dry, a capsule to 0.3 cm. 

Wetland status: OBL. 

Frequency in NYC: Very infrequent. 

Origin: Native. 

Habitat: Brackish water, wet soil, muddy banks.
