Chaenorrhinum minus is an annual herb to 30 cm tall, glandular-hairy.

Leaves alternate, linear, to 2 cm long, tip blunt, stalk very short. 

Flowers blue-purple with yellow mark, irregular, to 0.6 cm long, axillary. 

Fruit a dry capsule.

Wetland status: UPL. 

Frequency in NYC: Very infrequent. 

Origin: Europe. 

Habitat: Open areas, railway rights-of-way.
